Dallas removes Confederate statue from city park

Authorities in Dallas, Texas have removed a statue of Robert E. Lee from a pedestal in a park named for the Confederate general.

In a statement, the city's mayor Mike Rawlings said the council had voted to tear down the four metre high monument which he described as a symbol of Injustice
