Impact of guns on public health

The Parkland, Florida, school shooting has renewed calls to approach gun violence as a public health threat, like diseases or car crashes. Over the past two decades, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has been restricted from researching the impact of guns on public health. Dr. John LaPook explains the reason for this -- and why it could change.
